BreviariumLite 2.0

Breviarium is an application designed for the recitation of the Liturgy of the Hours (Pope Paul VI), available at any time and even offline, eliminating the need for an internet connection.

In its LITE version, the app includes only the four-week Psalter. The FULL version offers additional sections: Proper of the Time, Proper of the Saints, and Various Commons.

The initial screen displays the liturgical calendar for the day if the device is connected to the internet, showing the week of the Psalter and the liturgical celebration (optional memorial, memorial, feast, solemnity, or season). If there is no internet connection, the calendar is accessible offline automatically.

Currently, in version 1.0, only the Italian text is available. Other languages are not yet supported but are expected to be included in future updates.

The app allows users to adjust the text size using buttons on the left side of the screen. Additionally, automatic scrolling can be enabled to read the texts seamlessly; the scrolling speed can be regulated with controls on the right side, as illustrated in the accompanying image.

The texts transmitted are publicly available online; therefore, occasional inaccuracies may occur, which users can report via the support website or email.

Content must be manually selected, similar to using a traditional breviary. The current version does not support automatic positioning of texts; however, this feature may be added in future updates.

P.S.: This application does not intend to replace the printed breviary used by priests and religious but aims to serve as a supportive tool in case of emergencies.
